Hashemi rice is the most famous Persian rice alongside the local Tarom rice. This rice is known among Persian rice varieties as being pleasant and tasty and is well tall. Hashemi rice is the tallest rice among first-class Persian rice after black-tailed sadri rice. Of course, the aroma of Hashemi rice is slightly less than the first-class Tarom rice, but on the contrary, it is more tall. Like all low-yield rice, this first-class rice remains soft after baking and has a very good shelf-life and, like some high-yielding rice after cooling, does not become stiff and dry.
